Moyashi recently made a really cool SBSettings plugin to post to Twitter, called ‘Fast Twitter‘ (based on his earlier SBSettings plug ‘Fast Notes’). Here’s how to install it (at least until it appears on Cydia) and set it up (as Japanese instructions are hard to read for most of us).

First off, of course you need to have SBSettings installed (check Cydia).

Then open a terminal (and shh into your phone when doing this from a remote location, like your pc), then move to your /tmp folder:

cd /tmp

Get the .deb file:

curl http://homepage3.nifty.com/moyashi/cydia/com.hitoriblog.fasttwitter_0.3-1_darwin-arm.deb > com.hitoriblog.fasttwitter_0.3-1_darwin-arm.deb

Install the deb file:

dpkg -i com.hitoriblog.fasttwitter_0.3-1_darwin-arm.deb

Then respring / restart / reboot, and enable your account using Notes.app (!) like this:

You can then close Notes.app; Fast Twitter will read your account settings from the Notes.app database. Now you can tweet from your status bar!
